In 2023, the Pame Kaimakli Festival celebrated its 10th anniversary with the theme "Istories allosFos," translated as "Stories through a Different Light." This year's festival centered around  the art of storytelling, unveiling previously hidden truths and unseen neighborhood protagonists. It sought to offer a fresh perspective on historical narratives and places, unveiling new possibilities in an engaging manner.

The heart of the festival was marked by the installation of a versatile temporary structure named AGORA: A place 4 All. Positioned prominently in the central square and spanning approximately 120m2, this structure was the hub of the Festival activities. It not only energized the central square but also housed workshops, a pop-up cinema, theatrical performances, artist installations, and a curated talk. It also provided a comfortable lounge for attendees. Beyond the festival's agenda, the structure also played host to programs from Creative Europe, specifically EMPACT and ECRN.

Agora, A Place $ all wt the PK Festival welcomed the following activities:

1. The Reception Desk & Information Space provided festival-goers with information about the event and the A-Place Project.

2.  A Bi-Communal Children's Event brought together children from Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities for a herbal aroma workshop, combining a garden tour and herbal crafting, supported by the Commonwealth Foundation and UNFICYP.

3.Stencil Workshops & Mural Creation involved youth and Kaimakli residents in creating a community mural emphasizing social and environmental sustainability.

4.Artistic Talks by artists Larsen Bervorst and Marina Kyriakou discussed the Creative Europe Program ECRN, focusing on rooftop transformations through artistic interventions.

5. Finally, the A-Place Pop-Up Cinema & Lounge at AGORA showcased various screenings and theatrical performances throughout the festival, offering a cinematic experience for all. (For more info on the screenings check the Festivals Section of this website).
