Mapping Places

This installation at Plaza Blocs in Florida in Hospitalet, Barcelona, will be constructed with the texts and photographs submitted to the online competition A-Place MAPPING, which represent and describe the domestic spaces inhabited by people from diverse backgrounds and cultures from all over the world, along with the works from the neighbours.  The aim is to construct and visualise a shared lived space from our individual life experiences.  The cardboard boxes, containing individual experiences of domestic spaces, will be mounted on the walls of the neighbourhood's civic centre. The installation will allow us to re-observe domestic space and reflect on our everyday spatial practices through multiple associations: Photographs= Feelings; Texts= Reflections; Container= Dwelling; Modular structure= Community. This project is carried out by La Gloria Factoría de Arte with the collaboration of neighbours and civic associations.
