Alive Architecture
Brussels (Belgium)
Alive Architecture is a research-based practice in Brussels that challenges the architect’s role in city-making. Expanding the discipline from designing built space to co-producing Lived Space, the agency’s projects generate a public realm that is appropriated by its users and appreciated by everyone. By observing, using and transforming the existing spatial as well as social situation, our agency reinforces and enhances the values of a location’s unique identity. Through onsite mappings, co-design workshops and co-construction of the built space, we consider the process of each project as being essential to its outcome, stimulating Lived Space in the public realm.
