The virtual exhibition "Neighbourhood Through My Lens" includes the works of the participants of the Photography Workshop held within the scope of the activity "My Neighbourhood... My Place".
A group of eight young people, aged between 13 and 15, inhabitants of Bairro Padre Cruz, attended the workshop taught by Inês Galvão Teles. The aim was to understand the role of photography in today's society and world; the uses of the image and the importance of the context for its interpretation as well as the technical elements essential for photographic composition.
Finally, a challenge was proposed to the participants - to develop an individual visual narrative around the neighborhood from their mobilephone cameras. In a mix between portraits, shadows, landscapes and urban art, the photographic records they took serve as material for this collective virtual exhibition.
